2nd Trimester

It has been a long time since my last update I am now two weeks into the second trimester. I am happy to announce that the morning sickness is gone!!!! The only symptoms of pregnancy I have now are heartburn and a little exhaustion other then that I am feeling great. I had my monthly appointment on Friday, June 22nd. It was the 16 week appointment and from what Danny and I had read we had a good chance of finding out what we were having. We had decided I would just go by myself and then call him as soon as I got out of the appoint. As I was sitting in the waiting room reading one of the scary pregnancy articles they had sitting there, in walked Danny I guess he is more excited then he is letting on.  I am sad to report that we did not find out what we are having but am happy to report the twins are healthy and doing fine. We have an appointment on July 25th where we will find out the sex of the babies and measure them to make sure they are both getting enough nutrients and then will meet with the doctor.  I am very excited for that date to come, the suspense is killing me and I am ready to buy some baby clothes that arent white, yellow or green. I have been traveling a bunch for work and have started buying something for the twins each place I go for the nursery. I am going to do a safari nursery, just waiting to see what we are having to decide on colors and the crib bedding. I have kind of developed a small obsession with giraffes, they are so cute. I found a beautiful cradle to put in our bedroom at a garage sale. I got it for $40 with 8 books on pregnancy. The couple that sold it to me were so excited about the twins they kept throwing things in. I have also included some pictures on some of the things I have started for the babies. the pile has grown since taking these pictures but I am to lazy to take new ones.

 

And here are the pictures from the past couple doctors appointments. the first set are from the appointment in May. we had a blast at this appointment the babies were kicking each other so funny to watch.

we also got this profile picture for baby b which until this appointment always kind of looked like a blob in the pictures because of the angle of the photo. this was the first appointment we did an over the belly ultrasound. It was nice to finally see baby b!!! Oh and the heart beats were on opposite ends of the spectrum just like they have been with every other ultrasound. The doctors keep saying that is a sign that we have one of each. I hope they are right but I will take whatever is going to show at the end of July.

Here are the pictures from the appointment this week. This was our first appointment with a male doctor at the office. the doctors go in a rotation. He wasnt overly concerned with getting me good pictures so they arent that great. I can tell you the babies are so much bigger then last month. they also have a lot more bones and their arms and legs are longer. I saw the ribs, hands and feet and just like Danny when he was a baby, they appear to both have huge hands!!!!
